Description of relevant behaviors:

To determine whether Pricilla is able to work cooperatively with others, it is noted that Pricilla negotiated on 3 separate occasions for particular building materials.

1. Asked to use the arch block to create “the place people go in”.  When the other child declined, Pricilla asked to have it when she was finished.

2. Another child asked Pricilla if she could “add on” to her building. Pricilla agreed with the contingency that the buildings “not touch”.

3. When transitioning to the next learning center, Pricilla was about to leave without putting her building materials away.  One of the children said, “Hey, you have to clean up too!” to which Pricilla responded, “OK.”  She then moved very slowly, but did pick up 8 to 10 blocks and placed them in the proper bins before moving on.

Description of how behavior impacts functioning:

This demonstrated behavior leads the observer to determine that in a small group setting, Pricilla is able to work cooperative with peers.
